Committing Poetry
I will not plead but affirm the fact
that words of allusion and illusion,
of metaphor and fact, have flowed
from mind to pen.
Guilty of thought, showing life's
individualistic yet
universal nature.
Condemn me if you will,
words will go on, mine or others.
Telling of shadows,
cloaked truths,passed by
lips or slips of paper,
finding their own amnesty.
